No, your rankings haven’t vanished
If your keyword tracking looks odd right now, you’re not alone.
Over the weekend Google quietly killed the “&num=100” trick that let us see the top 100 results in one go. Now every search tops out at ten results per page, so all rank trackers on the planet have suddenly lost visibility past page one.
So what’s actually happening with rankings?
The first 10 positions that matter—where almost all the clicks happen—are still visible. Anything below that may look unstable. This isn’t a true performance shift, but the result of these tracking platforms struggling to pull data while the industry rebuilds its tools.
While it might look like your rankings have disappeared, they haven’t. This is a reporting issue, not a drop in performance, and the key metrics you track are still accurate.
Here’s how to read the data right now:
→ Check organic traffic in Google Analytics—your traffic should be steady.
→ Cross-check in Search Console—impressions, average position and click-through-rates should be normal.
→ And most importantly, check sales, leads, bookings—business as usual.
Because in the end, rankings aren’t the goal. Outcomes are.
At Dilate we also use SEMRush, the leading SEO industry platform, and they’ve already rolled out a workaround to minimise disruption to businesses. We’ll continue to refine our own reporting as Google’s changes settle in.
